The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has activated a dedicated correction window for candidates to rectify errors in their Father’s Name for the Bihar State Teacher Eligibility Test (STET 2025). This crucial correction facility is available from 25 May 2026 to 05 June 2026. Candidates are strongly advised to visit the official BSEB STET portal to log in and make necessary amendments to ensure their records are accurate.

Age Limits As On 01 August 2025:
Minimum Age : 21 Years
Maximum Age : 37 Years (Male)
Maximum Age : 40 Years (Female UR, BC/ EBC-Male & Female)
Maximum Age : 42 Years (SC/ ST-Male & Female)
Age Relaxation: Bihar BSEB provides age relaxation for the Bihar STET position as per their regulations and government norms.
Eligibility Criteria:
For Secondary Teacher (Class 9–10, Paper-I), candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in the subject with at least 50% marks and a B.Ed. degree.
For Senior Secondary Teacher (Class 11–12, Paper-II), you need a Postgraduate degree in the subject with Second Division along with a B.Ed. degree (B.Ed. is not required for Computer Science applicants in this category).
Reservation Benefit: Candidates belonging to SC/ST/EBC/BC/Divyang categories get 5% relaxation in minimum qualifying marks for eligibility.
For Secondary Teacher (Class 9–10, Paper-I): Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in the concerned subject with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized university. Additionally, a B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) degree from a recognized institution is mandatory.
For Senior Secondary Teacher (Class 11–12, Paper-II): Candidates are required to possess a Postgraduate degree in the concerned subject with Second Division marks from a recognized university. A B.Ed. degree is also required, except for candidates applying for Computer Science, for whom the B.Ed. degree is not mandatory.
Relaxation: A 5% relaxation in marks is provided for candidates belonging to SC/ST/EBC/BC/Divyang categories as per Bihar government rules.
Bihar STET 2025 : Mode Of Selection
The selection process for Bihar STET 2025 is primarily based on a Computer Based Test (CBT) Exam. Candidates are evaluated on their performance in this online examination to qualify for teaching positions.
The correction window allows candidates to rectify errors specifically in their Father’s Name as recorded in their Bihar STET 2025 application or result.
The correction window is active from 25 May 2026 to 05 June 2026.
Candidates can make corrections by visiting the official BSEB STET portal, logging in with their Application/Roll Number and Date of Birth, and selecting the Father Name Correction option.
Candidates need their Application Number / Roll Number and Date of Birth to log in to the correction portal.
The Bihar STET 2025 examination was conducted on 14 October 2025.
The Bihar STET 2025 Result was declared on 05 January 2026.
