Candidates are advised to pay the application fee online before the last date to avoid any last-minute technical issues.

Age Limit & Eligibility Criteria

• Age Limit: Candidates must be born between 01 October 2001 and 30 September 2009 (inclusive). This indicates the candidate should be between 17 and 24 years of age as of 30 September 2026. Specific age relaxation for certain categories will be as per Government of India rules and the official notification.
• Gender: Only Female candidates are eligible to apply for the AFMS B.Sc Nursing course.
• Marital Status: Candidates must be unmarried.
• Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) or equivalent examination in the first attempt, with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany & Zoology), and English.
  • They must have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate marks for General/OBC/EWS candidates.
  • A minimum of 45% aggregate marks for SC/ST candidates.
  • The qualifying examination must be from a recognized Board/University/Council.
• NEET (UG) 2026: Candidates must have appeared in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (UG) 2026 conducted by NTA. The NEET (UG) 2026 score will be a mandatory criterion for shortlisting candidates for the further selection process.

Selection Process

• Step 1: NEET (UG) 2026 Score: Candidates will be shortlisted for the next stage based on their merit in the NEET (UG) 2026 examination. Only those with a valid NEET (UG) 2026 score and meeting the minimum qualifying percentile will be considered.
• Step 2: Computer Based Test (CBT): Shortlisted candidates will appear for a Computer Based Test (CBT) of General Intelligence & General English. This test assesses the candidate’s aptitude beyond the NEET syllabus and is crucial for evaluating their suitability for the armed forces environment.
• Step 3: Interview: Candidates qualifying the CBT will be called for an Interview. The interview panel assesses candidates on various parameters including communication skills, personality, motivation to join the military nursing service, and overall suitability.
• Step 4: Medical Examination: Candidates who qualify the interview stage will undergo a thorough medical examination as per the prescribed military standards. This includes various physical and physiological assessments to ensure they are fit for service.
• Step 5: Document Verification: Prior to final selection and admission, all original documents pertaining to age, education, caste (if applicable), and NEET (UG) score will be verified. Any discrepancy found at this stage may lead to disqualification.
• Final Merit List: A final merit list will be prepared based on the combined scores of NEET (UG), CBT, and Interview, subject to medical fitness and successful document verification.

How to Apply

• Interested and eligible female candidates who wish to apply for the Indian Army AFMS B.Sc Nursing Course 2026 can submit their application online before 31 July 2026.
• Visit the official website of Join Indian Army (indianarmy.nic.in) and navigate to the B.Sc Nursing admission section.
• Locate the “Apply Online” link for the AFMS B.Sc Nursing Course 2026 and click on it. The link will be activated on 20 July 2026.
• Register yourself by providing basic details such as name, email ID, and mobile number to generate login credentials.
• Log in using the generated credentials and fill out the detailed application form carefully. Ensure all personal, educational, and NEET (UG) 2026 score details are entered accurately.
• Upload scanned copies of required documents, including photograph, signature, 10th mark sheet, 12th mark sheet, and NEET (UG) 2026 admit card/scorecard, as per the specifications mentioned in the official notification.
• Pay the application fee of ₹ 200/- (for UR, OBC, EWS Female) online through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, etc. SC/ST Female candidates are exempted from the fee.
• Review your application form thoroughly before final submission. After submission, take a printout of the final application form for your records.
• Make sure to complete the application process before the deadline 31 July 2026.
