Application Fee

Age Limit & Eligibility Criteria

• Age Limit Calculation: The age limits will be calculated as of the last date for online application, i.e., 31 July 2026.
• Minimum Age: As per ONGC rules, generally 18 years, though not explicitly mentioned in the notification.
• Maximum Age for Engineering Stream:
  • For Unreserved / EWS Categories : 26 Years
  • For OBC (NCL) Category : 29 Years

1. Age Relaxation: Additional age relaxation will be applicable as per the extant rules and regulations of ONGC for various reserved categories. Candidates must refer to the official notification for specific details on relaxations.

Selection Process

• Computer Based Test (CBT): This is the primary stage of selection. The CBT will assess candidates’ technical knowledge in their respective disciplines (Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical, Instrumentation Engineering, or Geology) along with general aptitude. The exam pattern, syllabus, and marking scheme will be detailed in the official notification. Candidates should prepare by thoroughly reviewing their core subjects, practicing previous year’s papers, and focusing on time management.
• Document Verification (DV): Candidates shortlisted based on their performance in the CBT will be called for Document Verification. It is crucial to have all original documents ready, including educational certificates (mark sheets, degree certificates), age proof (10th pass certificate), caste certificate (if applicable), PWD certificate (if applicable), and identity proof. Any discrepancy or missing document may lead to disqualification.
• Medical Examination: After successful document verification, candidates will undergo a medical examination as per ONGC’s prescribed standards. This stage ensures that selected candidates are medically fit for the demanding roles in the oil and gas sector.

• Step 2: Register by providing basic details such as name, email ID, and mobile number. A registration ID and password will be generated.

• Step 4: Upload scanned copies of your passport-size photograph and signature as per the specifications mentioned in the official notification. Ensure all documents are clear and meet the size requirements.
• Step 5: Pay the application fee online through the available payment modes (Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, etc.). Confirm the payment status after transaction.
• Step 6: Review all entered information carefully before final submission. No changes will be allowed after final submission.
• Step 7: Take a printout of the submitted application form for your records.
