Age Limit & Eligibility Criteria

• Maximum Age for Assistant Engineer : 40 Years
• Maximum Age for Deputy General Manager : 44 Years
• Age relaxation will be provided as per NTPC Green Energy Limited rules and regulations.
• Total Vacancies : 114 Posts
  • Assistant Engineer : 100 Posts

• Post-wise Eligibility:
• Assistant Engineer:
  • Candidates must have an Engineering Degree (Electrical/ Mechanical /Electronics/ Electrical & Electronics / Instrumentation) from a State Technical Board or AICTE/UGC Recognized Institute with pass marks.
  • A minimum of 10 Years of relevant experience is required.
• Deputy General Manager:
  • Candidates must have an Engineering Degree (Electrical/ Electrical & Electronics/ Electronics/ Control & Instrumentation/ Civil/ Mechanical) with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized Indian University/Institute recognized by appropriate statutory authority. For SC, ST & PwBD candidates, passing marks are sufficient.
  • A minimum of 12 Years of relevant experience is required.

Selection Process

• Written Exam: This stage will assess candidates’ technical knowledge, aptitude, and reasoning abilities relevant to the respective engineering disciplines and management roles. The exam pattern and syllabus will be detailed in the official notification.
• Interview: Shortlisted candidates from the written exam will undergo an interview to evaluate their communication skills, problem-solving capabilities, leadership potential, and overall suitability for the DGM or AE position.
• Document Verification: Candidates who qualify the interview stage will be required to present all original educational certificates, experience letters, caste certificates (if applicable), photo ID, and other relevant documents for verification. Any discrepancy may lead to disqualification.
• Medical Examination: Finally, selected candidates will undergo a medical examination as per NTPC’s prescribed standards to ensure they are physically fit for the duties associated with the posts.
