Age Limit & Eligibility Criteria

  • Age Limit (Corrected): Unmarried candidates born between 01 January 2005 and 01 July 2008 (including both dates) are eligible for the Recruitment Rally.

  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed 10th (Matriculation) with minimum passing marks from a recognized school or board.
  • Musical Ability & Experience:
    • Applicants should possess good musical ability, demonstrating correct tempo, pitch, and the capability to sing a full song and perform a tune.
    • Proficiency in using any music notation system (staff notation/tablature/tonic sol-fa, etc.) and the ability to play at least one musical instrument is mandatory.
    • Candidates must also meet specific musical experience criteria, such as holding Grade 5 or higher from a recognized music institute (e.g., Trinity College London, Royal School of Music).
    • Alternatively, a diploma in Hindustani or Carnatic music from a recognized institute or certificates/awards from national/international music events (e.g., All India Radio, Doordarshan, recognized competitions/festivals) will be accepted.

Selection Process

  • Stage 1: Proficiency Test in Playing Musical Instruments (PTMP): Candidates will first undergo a practical assessment of their musical skills. This involves demonstrating their ability to play a chosen instrument, maintain rhythm, pitch, and perform specific musical pieces as required by the selection committee. This is a qualifying round.
  • Stage 2: English Written Test: Candidates who successfully clear the PTMP will proceed to an English written test. This test will evaluate basic English language comprehension, grammar, and vocabulary. The syllabus typically includes topics such as passages, prepositions, tenses, active/passive voice, and direct/indirect speech.
  • Stage 3: Physical Fitness Test (PFT): Those who pass the written test will undergo a Physical Fitness Test. This includes:
    • 1.6 Km Run: To be completed within a specified time limit (e.g., 6 minutes 30 seconds for male candidates).
    • Push-ups: A set number of repetitions within one minute (for male candidates only).
    • Sit-ups: A set number of repetitions within one minute (for male candidates only).
    • Squats: A set number of repetitions within one minute (for male candidates only).

    Candidates are advised to practice regularly to meet the required physical standards.

    • Stage 4: Adaptability Test-II: This test assesses the candidate’s adaptability to the Indian Air Force environment and their potential to adjust to various service conditions and challenges. It evaluates their logical reasoning and general awareness.

Agniveer Vayu Musician 01/2027 : Mandatory Medical Standards

The mandatory medical standards for candidates applying to the Agniveer Vayu Musician 01/2027 position are as follows:

  • Height Requirements:
    • Male Candidates: Minimum acceptable height is 162 cm.
    • Female Candidates: Minimum acceptable height is 152 cm. For candidates from North East or hilly regions of Uttarakhand, a lower minimum height of 147 cm is acceptable. For candidates from Lakshadweep, the minimum height is 150 cm.
    • Chest Measurements:
