Selection Process
The selection of candidates for the Railway NFR Apprentice positions will primarily be based on a Merit List.
Merit List Preparation: The merit list will be prepared based on the percentage of marks obtained in Class 10th (Matriculation) with a minimum of 50% (aggregate) marks, and the marks obtained in the ITI examination (in the specific trade for which the apprenticeship is sought). The average of the marks in both Matriculation and ITI will be considered for the final merit.
Document Verification (DV): Candidates shortlisted based on the merit list will be called for Document Verification. It is crucial for candidates to present all original educational certificates (Class 10th Marksheet, ITI Certificate/Marksheet), caste certificate (if applicable), proof of age, and any other required documents as specified in the official notification. Ensure all documents are authentic and match the information provided in the online application. Failure to produce original documents or discrepancies may lead to disqualification.
Medical Examination: Subsequent to successful Document Verification, candidates will undergo a prescribed medical examination to ensure they meet the physical fitness standards required for Apprentice training as per Indian Railway norms. This medical fitness is mandatory for final engagement.
Final Selection: The final selection will be contingent upon the candidate’s position in the merit list, successful completion of document verification, and clearance in the medical examination.
