Application Fee

• For General / OBC / EWS : ₹ 500/-
• For SC / ST / EBC : ₹ 250/-
• For All Category female : ₹ 250/-
• Fee Refund (General / OBC) : ₹ 400/- will be refunded to the bank account after appearing in Stage I Exam.
• Fee Refund (Other candidates) : ₹ 250/- will be refunded to the bank account after appearing in Stage I Exam.
• Payment Mode (Online): You can make the payment using Debit Card, Credit Card, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Card / Mobile Wallet.

Age Limit & Eligibility Criteria (As On 01 January 2027)

• Minimum Age : 18 Years
• Maximum Age : 30 Years
• Age relaxation for the NTPC Inter Level position will be provided as per RRB regulations for various categories (SC/ST/OBC/Ex-Servicemen/PwBD etc.). Candidates should refer to the detailed official notification for specific age relaxation rules.

• Post-Wise Eligibility Criteria:
• Commercial Cum Ticket Clerk: Candidates must have passed the 10+2 Intermediate Exam from any recognized board in India. For General / OBC / EWS candidates, a minimum of 50% Marks is required. SC / ST / PH candidates only need to have a Pass certificate.
• Train Clerk: Candidates must have passed the 10+2 Intermediate Exam from any recognized board in India. For General / OBC / EWS candidates, a minimum of 50% Marks is required. SC / ST / PH candidates only need to have a Pass certificate.
• Accounts Clerk Cum Typist: Candidates must have passed the 10+2 Intermediate Exam from any recognized board in India. For General / OBC / EWS candidates, a minimum of 50% Marks is required. SC / ST / PH candidates only need to have a Pass certificate. Additionally, candidates must possess computer typing proficiency of English 30 WPM OR Hindi 25 WPM.
• Junior Clerk Cum Typist: Candidates must have passed the 10+2 Intermediate Exam from any recognized board in India. For General / OBC / EWS candidates, a minimum of 50% Marks is required. SC / ST / PH candidates only need to have a Pass certificate. Additionally, candidates must possess computer typing proficiency of English 30 WPM OR Hindi 25 WPM.

Selection Process

• Computer Based Test (CBT-1): This is the first stage of the examination and typically serves as a screening test. It evaluates general awareness, mathematics, and general intelligence & reasoning. Candidates need to clear this stage to proceed.
• Computer Based Test (CBT-2): Candidates who qualify in CBT-1 will be eligible for CBT-2. This stage is more comprehensive and carries significant weight in the final merit list. It also covers general awareness, mathematics, and general intelligence & reasoning but with a higher difficulty level.
• Skill Test / Typing Test / Aptitude Test: Depending on the specific post (e.g., Clerk posts requiring typing skills), candidates will undergo a Skill Test or Typing Test. For some specific operational posts, an Aptitude Test might be conducted. This stage assesses practical abilities relevant to the job.
• Document Verification (DV): Shortlisted candidates from the previous stages will be called for Document Verification. It is crucial to present all original documents related to educational qualifications, age, caste (if applicable), domicile, etc., for scrutiny. Any discrepancy can lead to disqualification.
• Medical Examination: The final stage involves a medical examination conducted as per the strict medical standards set by the Indian Railways. Candidates must meet these standards to be deemed fit for appointment.
