Age Limit & Eligibility Criteria

• Minimum Age : As per MECL Rules (Typically 18 years)
• Maximum Age : 30 Years (As on 01 July 2026)
• Age Relaxation: MECL provides age relaxation for the Non-Executive Various positions as per their regulations and Government of India rules for reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Ex-servicemen). Candidates are advised to refer to the official notification for detailed age relaxation policies.
• Educational Qualification: Eligibility criteria vary significantly for each post. Candidates must possess specific ITI Certificates, Diplomas, or Bachelor’s Degrees (B.Sc., B.Com, BA, BCA, etc.) from a recognized institution or university. Desirable proficiencies like Basic Computer Knowledge, SAP modules, and valid driving licenses are also mentioned for certain posts. Selection Process

• Screening Test: All applications received will undergo an initial screening to check if candidates meet the minimum eligibility requirements advertised in the official notification. Only eligible candidates will proceed to the next stage.
• Written Exam: Candidates shortlisted after the screening process will be called for a written examination. This exam typically consists of multiple-choice questions assessing General Aptitude, Reasoning, Quantitative Ability, General Awareness, and subject-specific knowledge relevant to the applied post. The detailed syllabus and exam pattern will be published in the official notification.
• Skill Test / Trade Test: For certain technical and non-executive posts (e.g., Electrician, Stenographer, various Technicians, Junior Driver), a skill test or trade test will be conducted. This practical examination evaluates the candidate’s proficiency and hands-on skills in their respective trade. The nature of the test will be specific to the requirements of the post.
• Document Verification: Candidates who qualify in the written exam and/or skill test will be shortlisted for document verification. Here, all original educational certificates, mark sheets, age proof, caste certificates (if applicable), experience certificates, valid photo ID, and other relevant documents will be thoroughly checked against the information provided in the online application. Any discrepancy may lead to disqualification.
• Medical Examination: After successful document verification, candidates will be required to undergo a medical examination conducted by MECL’s designated medical authority. This is to ensure that candidates meet the prescribed physical and medical fitness standards necessary for performing the duties of the respective posts.
• Final Merit List: A final merit list will be prepared based on the candidate’s performance in the Written Examination and Skill Test/Trade Test (where applicable), subject to successful completion of Document Verification and Medical Examination.
