Age Relaxation: Railway Recruitment Cell provides age relaxation for SC/ST candidates by 5 years, for OBC candidates by 3 years, and for Persons with Disabilities (PwBD) by 10 years, as per government rules and regulations.
Eligibility: Candidates must have passed Class 10th (High School) with at least 50% marks from a recognized board. Additionally, applicants must possess an ITI Certificate in the relevant trade (e.g., Fitter, Electrician, Welder, Machinist, Carpenter, Painter etc.) issued by an NCVT/SCVT-recognized institution.
Selection Process
Merit List: The primary basis for selection will be a merit list prepared on the basis of percentage of marks obtained in Class 10th (Matriculation with minimum 50% aggregate marks) and ITI examination (in the trade in which Apprenticeship is to be done). Equal weightage will be given to both 10th and ITI marks.
Document Verification (DV): Candidates shortlisted based on the merit list will be called for Document Verification. It is crucial to carry all original documents, including academic certificates, ITI certificate, caste certificate (if applicable), age proof, and other relevant testimonials. Any discrepancy or missing document will lead to disqualification.
Medical Examination: After successful document verification, candidates will undergo a prescribed medical examination to ensure they meet the physical fitness standards set by the railway administration for the apprentice position.

RRC ECOR Apprentice Recruitment 2026 : Important Questions & Answers
The online application for this recruitment will start on 26 August 2026.
The last date for online application is 15 September 2026, which is also the last date for fee payment.
The application fee for General/OBC/EWS candidates is ₹ 100/-, while SC/ST/PH/All Female candidates are exempted from fee payment (₹ 00/-).
