Step 1 : Go to the official website of Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) at upsc.gov.in.
Step 2 : On the homepage, locate and click on the “What’s New” or “Examination” section.
Step 3 : Search for the link titled “Reserve List – Central Armed Police Forces (ACs) Examination, 2024” or a similar notification for the year 2026.
Step 4 : Click the relevant link to open the Reserve List in PDF format. This document typically contains the Roll Numbers (and sometimes names) of the provisionally recommended candidates.
Step 5 : Download the PDF file. You can then use the search function (Ctrl + F) to easily find your Roll Number or Name within the list.
Step 6 : If your details are present, save and print a copy of the Reserve List for your records and future reference during the appointment process.
Educational Qualification: A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University or equivalent qualification is mandatory.
Age Limit: Candidates must be between 20 and 25 years of age as on 01 August 2024. Age relaxation is applicable for Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates as per Government of India rules.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Qualified candidates need to pass a PET, which typically includes events like 100 meters race, 800 meters race, Long Jump, and Shot Put.

CAPF (Assistant Commandant) Examination 2024 : Mode Of Selection
Written Examination: The selection process commences with a written examination comprising two papers: Paper I (General Ability and Intelligence) and Paper II (General Studies, Essay, and Comprehension).
Physical Standards Test (PST) / Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates who qualify the written examination proceed to the PST/PET stage, where their physical attributes and endurance are assessed.
Medical Examination: Successful candidates from the PST/PET undergo a comprehensive medical examination to ensure they meet the prescribed health standards.
Interview/Personality Test: Candidates declared medically fit are then called for an Interview/Personality Test, which assesses their general awareness, communication skills, and suitability for the role.
Final Merit List: A final merit list is prepared based on the marks obtained in the Written Examination and the Interview/Personality Test. A Reserve List is also published for subsequent recommendations in case of non-joining or other exigencies.
