How to Download Admit Card

  • Step 1 : Go to the Important Links section below and click on the direct link for your respective course (UG & PG, NLEA UG, or Artisans).
  • Step 2 : You will be redirected to the NTA NIFTEE login portal.
  • Step 3 : Enter your login details, which typically include your Application Number and Date of Birth / Password.
  • Step 4 : Click on the “Submit” or “Login” button.
  • Step 5 : Your NIFTEE Stage-II Admit Card will appear on the screen.
  • Step 6 : Carefully verify all the details mentioned on the admit card. Download it and take at least 2-3 printouts for exam day and future reference.

Exam Pattern

  • UG Programmes :
    • For B.Des, candidates must appear in General Ability Test (GAT), Creative Ability Test (CAT), and a Situation Test. The final merit list weightage is CAT 50%, GAT 30%, and Situation Test 20%.
    • For B.F.Tech, candidates only need to appear in the General Ability Test (GAT).
    • PG Programmes :
      • For M.Des, candidates must appear in General Ability Test (GAT), Creative Ability Test (CAT), and a Personal Interview.
      • For MFM and M.F.Tech, candidates must appear in General Ability Test (GAT) and a Personal Interview.
      1. Marking Scheme : Each correct answer earns 1 mark. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. No marks are awarded or deducted for unattempted questions.

What to Carry to Exam

  • Printed Admit Card: Candidates must carry a clear printout of their NIFTEE Stage-II Admit Card. It is advisable to take 2-3 copies.
  • Valid Photo Identity Proof: Carry any one original, valid photo ID proof such as Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Passport, Driving License, or Voter ID.
  • Passport Size Photograph: One recent passport-size photograph, preferably the same as uploaded in the application form.
  • Transparent Ballpoint Pen: For marking answers (if applicable for any written component).
  • Transparent Water Bottle: A personal transparent water bottle is usually permitted.
  • Hand Sanitizer: A small, transparent bottle of hand sanitizer (50ml).
  • Forbidden Items: Electronic gadgets, mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators, study material, eatables (other than medical necessities), or any other unauthorized items are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall.

NTA NIFTEE 2026 : Eligibility Criteria & Age Limits
  • Age Limits (As On 01 August 2026):
    • Minimum Age : N/A
    • Maximum Age : 24 Years (For Bachelor of Design (B.Des) & Bachelor of Fashion Technology (B.F.Tech))
    • For Master of Design (M.Des), Master of Fashion Management (M.F.M), Master of Fashion Technology (M.F.Tech) : No Age Limit
    • Age relaxation will be provided by NTA as per government rules and NIFTEE regulations for reserved categories.
    • Course-wise Eligibility Criteria:
      • Bachelor of Design (B.Des): Candidates must have passed Class 12th from any recognized board (including NIOS), or must hold a 3–4 year diploma or an equivalent qualification approved by a recognized authority. Applicants must also meet the prescribed age limit and be Indian citizens to apply.
      • Bachelor of Fashion Technology (B.F.Tech.): Candidates must have passed Class 12th with Mathematics as a subject, or they must hold a 3–4 year Engineering Diploma from a recognized institution. Applicants must also fulfill the required age criteria and must be citizens of India to be considered eligible.
      • Master of Design (M. Des.): Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in any stream from a recognized university, or they must possess a 3-year Diploma from NIFT or NID. Applicants should also meet the prescribed age limit and must be citizens of India to qualify for the application process.
      • Master of Fashion Management (M.F.M.): Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in any stream from a recognized university, or a 3-year Diploma from NIFT or NID to be eligible. Along with the educational qualification, applicants must also fulfill the required age criteria and be Indian citizens as per official guidelines.
      • Master of Fashion Technology (M.F.Tech.): Candidates must have completed B.F.Tech from NIFT or hold a B.E./B.Tech degree from a recognized university or institution. Applicants must also satisfy the age requirements and be citizens of India as per official rules.
      • Bachelor of Design (B.Des.) For Artisan Category: Candidates must have passed Class 12th from a recognized board (including NIOS), or possess a 3–4 year Diploma or an equivalent qualification. Additionally, applicants must have a valid Artisan Card. Along with the educational criteria, candidates must also fulfill the prescribed age limit and be citizens of India as per official guidelines.

NTA NIFTEE 2026 : Mode Of Selection
  • UG Programmes Selection:
    • For B.Des, candidates must appear in General Ability Test (GAT), Creative Ability Test (CAT), and a Situation Test. The weightage for the final selection is CAT 50%, GAT 30%, and Situation Test 20%.
    • For B.F.Tech, candidates are selected based solely on their performance in the General Ability Test (GAT).
    • PG Programmes Selection:
      • For M.Des, candidates must appear in General Ability Test (GAT), Creative Ability Test (CAT), followed by a Personal Interview.
      • For MFM and M.F.Tech, candidates are selected based on their performance in the General Ability Test (GAT) and a subsequent Personal Interview.
